Cookie Policy

The cookies we use

• pdfops_session

  Carries your session. Set httpOnly and SameSite=Lax; it cannot be read by JavaScript. Created when you sign in, deleted when you sign out.

• pdfops_csrf

  Used for double-submit verification against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). A functional cookie, set for security.

• pdfops_job

  Holds the id of the translation you have in flight, so a page refresh does not lose it. It is httpOnly and expires after 6 hours. Keeping the id out of the address bar is deliberate: an id in the URL would leak into browser history and into outbound links.

• pdfops_locale

  Remembers the interface language you chose; kept for one year. It holds nothing but that preference.

• pdfops_theme

  Remembers the theme you chose (day, night, paper); kept for one year. It affects appearance and nothing else.

Your translation target language is not held in a cookie: it lives in your browser's local storage (pdfops_target_lang), is never sent to the server, and disappears when you clear your browser data.

Consent

These cookies are strictly necessary or functional — they make the service work and remember your preferences — so they need no separate consent. We show no cookie banner because we use no tracking or advertising cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; signing in and remembering preferences will then not work.

Payment provider

When the payment step sends you to our payment provider Paddle, Paddle may set its own cookies. Those cookies are governed by Paddle's privacy and cookie policies.
